Warm layers, gloves and hats. Wool socks and sturdy shoes are helpful. Nights can be very cold. Bring a flashlight. We will provide red cellophane covers to protect your night vision.

    • Presentations on astronomical topics are given in the classroom throughout the course of the evening. Starting at dusk, the Observatory's three main telescopes are open for your viewing.     • RFO docents Michael O'Shea and Steve Smith will go live on Santa Rosa's KSRO, talking about the upcoming Sunday Lunar Eclipse. Tune in and don't forget to head up the hill to RFO in Sugarloaf Ridge State Park on Sunday! RFO will be open from 11AM to 3PM for solar observing and then reopen at 6PM for the eclipse.
