School Astronomy Nights

Throughout each school year our Docent volunteers bring their personal telescopes and binoculars to provide astronomy programs to schools to promote science education and interest in astronomy.

We encourage our Young Astronomers to show the night sky to their peers.

Young Astronomers

Striking Sparks winners and students with an interest in astronomy gather for scheduled meetings throughout the school year at Sonoma County Libraries.

For schedules contact Adult Advisor Christine France at [email protected]

Young Astronomers are encouraged to participate by bringing their own telescopes to school Astronomy Night events and the Robert Ferguson Observatory (RFO). There are docents at the RFO who can provide assistance in learning the night sky and how to operate the telescopes.
